Summary
In 2024, our question was: how can AI help people express themselves in Windows? I started by exploring new, AI-powered ways to do that.
But my research pointed to a wider problem. Satisfaction with the existing expression tool was high, while usage was low at Windows scale. Adding a new capability would address only part of that gap.
As the sole designer, I designed new ways for people to express themselves, starting with AI-generated stickers, and the flows for using them. Along the way, I made the case to address discovery and fundamentals alongside them. I also took ownership of the panel and helped fix bugs.
